Stacey was born and raised in Central Texas. She has taught swimming lessons for the past 19 years and was a lifeguard and water aerobics instructor while in college at Texas A&M. Stacey was a classroom teacher for three years before moving overseas to work for an anti-trafficking ministry. She has traveled to over 30 countries! While on the mission field she once lived on a bus in Africa for five days with hardly any food or water (all while she had malaria) – so she speaks from experience when she tells her students that we can do hard things :)
She and her family returned to Waco in 2021, and she joined Swim Waco as the general manager in 2024. Stacey and her husband, Thomas, have been married 11 years and have two daughters – Adeline & Harbor.
Fun fact: Stacey has a first degree black belt in Taekwondo!
